A member of the Vestra tribe, Mavda makes her living as a travelling merchant. She came to the aid of Aeron and Elena when they were being pursued by the army following the Harvest Festival. Her motives are unclear, but she offers the young couple a way of escaping the curse that has afflicted Elena. The old man on her back is rumoured to be her husband.
